DECT ULP (Ultra Low Power)

DECT ULP is an ultra-low-power operating mode of DECT developed by SiTel and our software development partner RTX Telecom A/S. It is an extension of the CAT-iq standard, and builds upon previous DECT / CAT-iq generations. As a result, DECT ULP offers the same voice quality, reliability, secure communication and plug-and-play installation as the extensive installed base of DECT systems.
Drawing on years of experience in DECT technology, SiTel and RTX have been able to introduce a number of modifications including a deep sleep mode. The result is that a typical sensor application incorporating DECT ULP can operate autonomously for over 5 years on a single AAA battery. This means a typical sensor application incorporating DECT ULP can operate autonomously for over 5 years on a single AAA battery.
